At Sterling Air Service we have a team approach to safety. Every department member has a role in safety within the company. Our maintenance department, flight dispatch, management, and our crew members work in unison every day to ensure all safety variables are considered and addressed for each flight.

We are proud to be one of the few operators that incorporate a formal Safety Management System (SMS) into its everyday operations.

We utilize SIMCOM Training Centers to provide pilot and technician training services for all our operations utilizing simulators. They are also factory training partners for many of the world’s most popular aircraft manufacturers.

Sterling Air Service is one of 500 operators in the United States to have undergone and successfully completed an International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) audit and is an IS-BAO Stage 2 certified operator. IS-BAO is a recommended code of best practices designed to help flight departments worldwide achieve high levels of safety and professionalism developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).

Sterling Air Service operates our FAA approved SMS system through FltSafety.com. This electronic management system allows for real time reporting and analysis of safety issues.
